Nightwish - Imaginaerum up coming on 30 November 2011

Nightwish - Dark Passion Play - 2007

Dark Passion Play

All eyes have been on Nightwish over the last three years following the huge commercial success of previous album "Once" and of course also the dramatic letting go of previous vocal powerhouse Tarja. Now more than ever Tuomas and company have immense pressure placed upon them to deliver the goods with the sixth full length edition to the Nightwish catalogue.
Track Listing

Nightwish - Once - 2004

Once

I would say that this is something as uncommon as a perfect (when it comes to rating) album with flaws! I used to claim that every perfect album needs to have unity, and be totally free of any letdown songs/flaws. And Once, plus a handful other albums, are the exceptions to the rule of mine.
Track Listing
01. Dark Chest Of Wonders
02. Wish I had An Angel
03. Nemo
04. Planet Hell
05. Creek Mary's Blood
06. The Siren
07. Dead Gardens
08. Romanticide
09. Ghost Love Score
10. Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan
11. Higher Than Hope

Nightwish - Century Child - 2002

Century Child

So here it is, the long awaited sequel to Wishmaster and it delivers the same power package but is it really something new? The clear answer is no because all the songs that Century Child delivers are already done on Oceanborn and Wishmaster. When you have an angel then you definetely need a Devil . The best aspect is that Nightwish's bass player Marco Hietala sings on this album.
Track Listing
01. Bless The Child
02. End Of All Hope
03. Dead To The World
04. Ever Dream
05. Slaying The Dreamer
06. Forever Yours
07. Ocean Soul
08. Feel For You
09. Phantom Of The Opera
10. Beauty Of The Beast
    1 - Long Lost Love
2 - One More Night To Live
    3 - Christabel

Nightwish - Wishmaster - 2000

Wishmaster

The album Wishmaster is the follow-up to Oceanborn, which was released 2 years ago. Over these 2 years, Nightwish has definitely evolved as a band and because of it this album is much more mature than any other album this far.
Track Listing
01. She Is My Sin
02. The Kinslayer
03. Come Cover Me
04. Wanderlust
05. Two For Tragedy
06. Wishmaster
07. Bare Grace Misery
08. Crownless
09. Deep Silent Complete
10. Dead Boy's Poem
11. FantasMic

Nightwish - Oceanborn - 1998

Oceanborn
even better than on the first album Angels Fall First. Compared to this one, Oceanborn is heavier, more varied and has, of course, a better sound, and finally Tuomas Holopainen decided to stop singing (his voice scared me when I first heard Angels Fall First): he who writes everything, and has stunning keyboard sounds decided to let Tarja do the job.
Track Listing

01. Stargazers
02. Gethsemane
03. Devil & The Deep Dark Ocean
04. Sacrament Of Wilderness
05. Passion And The Opera
06. Swanheart
07. Moondance
08. The Riddler
09. The Pharaoh Sails To Orion
10. Walking In The Air [Howard Blake cover]

Nightwish - Angels Fall First - 1997

Angels Fall First

Angels Fall First, the first release by Nightwish was quite odd. The band lacked a bass player at this point and they were still pretty inexperienced, not to mention that the lyrics were very weird. I'd give you examples, but you wouldn't believe me. Let's take a dive in the world of 1997's Nightwish.

Track Listing
01. Elvenpath
02. Beauty And The Beast
03. The Carpenter
04. Astral Romance
