Joe Stump - Virtuostic Vendetta - 2009

Virtuostic Vendetta

Joe Stump is one of the most intense and over the top guitarists on the planet. His maniacal guitar driven releases are amazing displays of power and jaw dropping technical command. He was named by Guitar One Magazine as one of the ten fastest shredders of all time and by Guitarist as one of the top 20 shredders of all time. The American guitar hero returns with his most diverse and complete solo effort to date with Virtuostic Vendetta. Not only a killer shred record but also a great all around guitar driven release, blending neo-classical speed metal, European influenced shred and old school hard rock into a great combination of playing and tracks that will appeal to a wide range of guitar enthusiasts and metal fans worldwide . Great melodies, killer riffs and from the heart emotionally drenched playing are combined with all the insane shredding you'd expect making this the most exciting record of Joe's career. Proclaimed by many music experts as the ultimate guitar monster you'll hear why words like Godlike, shred master, brilliant and many more have been used to describe the Shredlord's unparalleled playing style

Joe Stump - Speed Metal Messiah - 2004

Speed Metal Messiah

Andy Craven at Virtuosityone.com writes in his review of Joe Stump's 2004 CD, "Speed Metal Messiah sees Stump raise his game in every department. The first major apparent improvement is the production of this album - sonically this album is superb with a very clear mix and great separation between the instruments (the album was mixed by Reign Of Terror vocalist Michael Vescera). In addition Joe has really honed his instrumental crafting skills and the sound now is firmly his own. Lastly the actual playing itself has taken several more steps up the ladder (never one thing Stump has been lacking for sure) with the whole guitar work just sounding supremely confident and really going for the jugular with its precision, skill and sheer energy. With Speed Metal Messiah, Joe Stump has delivered the album his previous releases have all hinted at. This release is home to sheer class in every department with enough sonic tapestries to make even the most hardcore guitar nut die with ecstasy, yet enough focus and restraint (where required) to make the album appealing to those not so impressed by instrumental releases

Joe Stump - Armed & Ready - 2003

Armed & Ready

Joe Stump's new instrumental release, Armed And Ready, solidifies his firm hold as the most over the top rock guitarist known to man! Citing influences such as Uli Jon Roth, Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Michael Schenker, Gary Moore and Yngwie Malmsteen for this tour de force of guitar histronics, Joe blazes through each of the eight tracks with a no holds barred attitude. To even fathom that some of these tracks are first takes can only boggle the mind of the talent necessary to be so inventive, forceful, dynamic and emotional in this type of format. Armed And Ready should satisfy Joe's rabid fan base plus help him gain more fanatics and lovers of massive guitar to his ever growing legions

Joe Stump - A Shred Odyssey - 2001

A Shred Odyssey

Joe Stump has just instigated another nuclear musical event with the release of his fifth instrumental CD, "2001: A Shred Odyssey", a collection of new, live and former bonus tracks. The CD opens with an amazing guitar solo - a one take shred masterpiece that should have every guitarist in the world in awe. Two other solo guitar pieces ("Nocturne", "Partita #1 In A Minor) showcase more of Stump's unparalleled playing style that encompasses technical fire, melody and chops. The three ending live tracks were all recorded on Stump's most recent instrumental tour of the U.S. "Psycho Shred Suite", in particular, is the most difficult piece of music to play that Stump has ever written. Each and every listen of "2001: A Shred Odyssey" will bring new and exciting parts to the forefront of the musical picture this guitarist has created with his advanced compositional vision. An intense musician's dream come true - and a high placement in the Shred Hall of Fame

Joe Stump - Rapid Fire Rando - 1998

Rapid Fire Rondo

Joe Stump raises the standard of shred guitar one notch higher with the release of his fourth instrumental CD, "Rapid Fire Rondo". From the blazing title track to the weeping "End Of An Era" to the blues madness of "Shredding In Shuffle City" to the subtle "Echo Andante" to the wall of shred of "Unrelenting" to the mystical "Pharaoh's Delight" to the rocking "Thrill Of The Chase," each and every track explodes into the listener's face, mind and body. Music this intense and complex will not appeal to the simple-minded nor the close minded. Each and every listen of "Rapid Fire Rondo" will bring new and exciting parts to the forefront of the musical picture Stump is painting with his advanced musical vision

Joe Stump - Supersonic Shred Machine - 1996

Supersonic Shred Machine

"Supersonic Shred Machine" is an unabashed orgy of obnoxiously fast neo-classical metal guitar, with enough absurdly difficult, ridiculously precise sweeps, legatos, and alternate picking to make even Yngwie Malmsteen stop dead in his tracks. The tracks on "Supersonic Shred Machine" range from slamming power grooves ("Wrecking Machine") to simple, chordal mood pieces ("Fall From Grace") to relentless, unstoppable white-knuckle affairs ("Where No Men Dare Shred") and each cut features short breakdowns written by Stump in the liner notes

Joe Stump - Night of the Living Shred - 1994

Night of the Living Shred

"Night Of The Living Shred" is a bombastic demontration of Stump's over-the-top arsenal of blazingly fast neo-classical riffs, heavy rhythms and overall phenomenal guitar technique. "Night Of The Living Shred" is the follow up to 1993's "Guitar Dominance" and incudes Stump's tributes to Stevie Ray Vaughan ("Texas Chainsaw Boogie") and Jimi Hendrix ("The Jimi Stomp"). A true "facemelter
